Serving Trays: All of our trays are solid hardwood and have 7 -9 layers of " Food Grade " Watco Butcher Block mineral oil as their finish,vinyl bumpers on the counter side to protect counter and tray. MANY trays carvings have been FILLED ( level with the rest of the board by using a resin) and makes clean up a breeze. For those trays that are not filled (Original) the texture and relief of the carving makes the boards appearance more rustic and 3 dimensional however cleanup is easy with a soft cloth and light soap, you can use a vegetable brush if needed. Check description to determine if the carving has been " FILLED"or not. Each piece is unquie to itself and can never be reproduced, you are purchasing a original functional piece of art.
